LET US ALL AWAKE OTHERWISE AFTER 7TH PAY COMMISION WE ALL WILL BE CONTIGENT EMPLOYEES

dear friends,

Of late our blogspot has became inactive. Has the initial enthusiasm vanished. friends remember that thousands of conerned class3 members and the Postal Federations are viewing our blog to get the feedback. If we feel dejected after the high cup slowly nobody will take as seriously. We must be aware of our limitations too. We can act as a catalyst to energise and enlighten our leaders with our collective wisdom and also criticize them when they fail to deliver. Don't feel that I am dampening the spirit of our fellow members. In the presentday reality we can't achieve anything even if we form a seperate Union for Class3 members alone. So the only alternative available to us is to enrich this blog as for as possible with your experinces and aspirations.

Let us arise awake and stop not till the goal is reached.

SUBRAMONY'S LIFE STORY

A smart boy from a poor family who was record breaker at class ten ,topper in college for PDC preferred not to join professional courses due to poor financial family background. Completed degree marvelously and entered into the job of postal clerck during late seventies. A job was necessary to support the family and got selected in the postal department as this selection was purely on merit. He started his career as a postal clerk at the age of 20 during late seventies., LSG, Inspector and Accounts officer were the options available for promotional tests.Accounts officer needs outstation service mandatory.Inspector vacancy was only for less than 1% of the postal clerk and from 1980 onwards the examinations not conducted for several years.After introduction of TBOP/BCR , the LSG test also came to halt.The only one thing he can dream of having a promotion in the entire service is to get through Group B exams.Finally during 2000 department stopped taking exams by TBOP people with 5 year service.This is because TBOP was a an utter confusion of the department which department wish to correct after a span of 2 decades spoiling the minute promotional dreams of a generation those who donot even have any thing to dream. Meanwhile during this period the rarest promotional posts available for General line people were wisely snatched by the administrative line using tactful techniques like pick pocketing beggers pockets.Now Subramoni who started his career as a postal clerk at 21 years is due to retire as a postal clerk of 60 years by 2015 with great 39 years of service in the department.Just like a Donkey ,Dog or like any other animal.(Animals donot have any promotions during their life period –born as a donkey ,die as a donkey)There are s many many Subramonies to come in the coming years.You may have your comments to add-please do.It is our forum ,We can share our views

FRIEND LIKE TO KEEP HIM SECRET HAS SAID

Trade unions have nowadays no roles in projecting the demands of employees in any level.They want a dissatisfied group in all cadres to arrange Dharnas,strikes etc to implement their political hidden agendas.They are only rubberstamps of political parties-Most of our problems can be settled if we have a sincere Trade union just like in Banking sector.we are always proud of our strengths,bargining capacity etc but net result is a Big zero.Actually 6th CPCs benefits are not even demanded by any of our Unions especially of ACP,Grade Pay.Children edn./child care leave etc--Once RTP employees were not given membership to any UNIONs and on the mercy of One UNNIKRISHNAN union minister they got appointment-ACP scheme of 5th CPC was not implemented in our Dept.due to the protest of ourown unions-we are always fighting ,fighting for what? whether we can improve the working condition of EDS,Whether we got TBOP/BCR,Any chances to Group B exam?Actually we are wasting our money and energy by sruggles just like 14 days all India srike resulting some fantastic dramas of our great leaders.Think of our present scenario-Lets hope next generation will realise our helplessness and will fight agaist our own leadership.

First of all I Thank for the team behind this venture to arrange a platform to express the thoughts of class 3 people of Indiapost freely without using any political/trade unions filters.
Let this be the voice of the most suppressed class in the postal department

Friends,
Developing organization world wide considers man power as the most valuable resource of their enterprise. Here India post with innovative strategies to go sky high is practicing modalties of british empire ,used during pre independence period. Devide and rule – The less number of administrative people were provided with all prospects and supports to suppress the huge majority of working class. For the last 30 years the class 3 people were down graded step by step each time when pay commission report was implemented. Where as the administrative line ( IP and above) upgraded twice or thrice during every CPC implementation. For the last 25 years the class 3 people denied LSG/HSG promotions presuming that TBOP and BCR were introduced to replace LSG/HSG. After 2000 department realized that Time bound one promotion is not at all a promotion but it is nothing.
The confusion of the department over TBOP-LSG & BCR-HSG for 20 years spoiled the carrear prospects of class 3 people who are now working inn the supervisory rolls of most of the post offices

Can the department be able to drive ahead with the array of projects when the terribly disappointed working force sitting behind the steering wheels

Dear Comrade,

The issues relating to TBOP/BCR are very serious. The same officials in the Cadre who appeared for GroupB exams during last year are told that thye have not enough qualifying serive to attend the same exam this year. Meanwhile the IPO/ASP who are neither an organised militant group nor have enough political backings are walking away with plum benefits. How? Just because the Postal bureaucrat is backing them. Why can't we rein in this vested groups through political intervention? Are we afraid of bureaucrats? Cadre restructuring is not the panacea for all the ills. It is indeed a trap. Once implemented no Official who have not gone through the IPO cadre will never raise to the level of Superintendent.He will utmost become a Senior Postmaster towards the fag end of his service. It is a pity that our Union still has failed to understand this trap and is trying to console the members by citing the 'golden years ahead" under the so called restructuring.

NFPE WROTE

Dear Comrades - It is always easy to say that Postal Group C are the most neglected class etc - But if we go through the problems of several other sections of Central Government Employees dispassionately, we will understand there are worse class of employees than Postal Group C in fact - For example, the section of LDC [lower division clerk] are suffering through the recommendations of successive pay commisions - Their level never raised even a single step - They even today continue to get only 1900 Grade Pay level while many cadres jumped over them including the Postmen, MailGuards etc - Do we know there is a cadre called 'Sorters'in our Postal Accounts, which is a Group 'C' cadre and today also it is placed on par with upgraded Group D [Multi Skilled Employee]at 1800 Grade Pay - Please feel the state of mind of such employees - Comparatively why not consider that the status of Postal Assistants that was on a lower level upto 5th CPC was elevated to UDC level on par with 1320 scale [4000-6000] level by 5th CPC and thus elevated the status of PA/SA cadre in comparison to several other cadres - Whatever injustice perpetrated to LSG HSG-II HSG-I have been effectively focussed by us but the Government and Pay Commission did not address correctly to solve - But however the merger of Pay Scales of S9, S10, S11 and S12 sorted out the problem of HSG-II / BCR as well as HSG-I which are placed on a higher level at 4200 GP and 4600 GP after the 6th CPC - The only problem remains unsorted is the problem of injustice meted out to LSG / TBOP - Let us continue our efforts in new angles like cadre restructuring etc for finding a solution to this problem also - My request is let us stop weeping and self-downgradation like simply repeating that we are the worst suffereing lot etc and concentrate to solve the remaining problems also - Regards
